This is Bullshit

That was Augustus' opinion on reindeer antlers for the upcoming holiday season.

Willow was equally excited with hers
Lawman has been saying for a while now that the first cold rainy day that comes along, he was going to make a batch of clove soap. That day came this week.

He actually made two batches, so we're 40 bars up for the winter.
And with the holidays fast approaching, we started gearing up for the cooking. First off, Lawman found a new spiced pumpkin pie he wanted to try, so he made it early to see if it's worthy of the pending ritual sacrifice day. It was.
We started off with scratch made pie crust. None of that Crazy Granny store bought frozen crust nonsense.
Then Lawman broke out his new toy, a pie crust bag. It was advertised to make perfect pie crust, and it did not disappoint.

We did use store bought pumpkin mix, just in case the recipe was a dud, we didn't want to waste one of our own jars of pumpkin.
We will be fixing this one for the big day.
After about three tons of chicken feed and every predator known to man feasting on our birds this year, we managed to get our first egg. It was only the size of a guinea egg, but it still counts.
We're guessing it was just one bird, because we got one egg, every other day. That's typical for young birds to go every other day. We look forward to having fresh eggs again. Lawman saved up this weeks eggs and had enough for our first batch of boiled custard. Cupcake was very excited.

It's one of "The Outlaw's" favorite holiday things. Shame he's batshit crazy or he'd be up to his elbows in boiled custard and fried oysters. But, we're sure 'the good daughter' makes both for him.
With the coming holidays we decided to give a few mixed drinks a try. Cupcake made a cranberry whisky sour that was really good.
Then Lawman followed The Alphageek's recipe for a Manhattan. He used rye and bourbon. We liked the bourbon a little better of the two.
And we broke in to the homemade peppermint we made last Christmas with leftover candy canes.
If dead chicken killers offends you, stop here. You've been warned.

Lawman has got this predator killing down to a science. We got pictures of another gray fox messing around the coop at night, so he prepped his sniper nest once again. Thirty minutes later, another tail and skull added to our collection.
We ended the week with deer meat lasagna, and a couple of naps.
